The Professional Development Foundation announced the start of receiving applications to participate in the “NGOS AWARD OF EXCELLENCE” competition for the sixth year in a row. In fact, this competition is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Social Solidarity. Additionally, this competition is stemming from the Foundation’s belief in the prominence of developing the NGOs, through building the capacities of the different civil society institutions

The award committee focuses on the efforts of NGOs in Egypt to create development in society and solve its problems, as well as contribute to support the efforts of the state to meet the humanitarian, social and economic needs of society.

PDF has set the criteria for choosing the winning NGO, these include: innovation, the impact on the community, the planning and the implementation phase, the documentation of projects or programs, as well as sustainability and continuity.

The award consists of certificates of excellence and a financial grant; 150,000 EGP to first place winner, 100,000 EGP to second place winner, 75,000 EGP to third place winner, and 50,000 EGP to fourth place winner.
