Overview of the program

Our NGOs Capacity Building program is designed to support NGOs in developing effective, well-managed, and sustainable organizations. It focuses on strategies, tools, and skills that enable NGOs to optimize their human and financial resources, strengthen internal operations, and enhance their community impact.

Objectives

  • Strengthening civil society and building the institutional capacity of Egyptian NGOs.
  • Aligning managerial levels to ensure effective coordination and governance.
  • Promoting human resource development and decentralization.
  • Enhancing staff capabilities and overall organizational performance.
  • Facilitating communication, knowledge transfer, and exchange of best practices across organizations.

Eligibility criteria

  • Must be a legally registered Egyptian NGO.
  • The organization should employ a minimum of five permanent staff members on its payroll.
  • A consecutive three-year organizational budget must be available and documented.
  • All participating employees must be Egyptian nationals.
  • The organization should have staff representing all managerial levels.
  • All employees must demonstrate full commitment to the program’s requirements and objectives.

  • Developing a comprehensive execution plan from the NGO’s side to ensure active participation and ownership.
  • Establishing effective internal systems that support organizational efficiency and sustainability.

Program structure

The program is thoughtfully designed to empower NGOs at every level through a comprehensive set of capacity-building tracks. Each track targets specific roles within the organization to ensure balanced growth, stronger leadership, and improved performance across all departments.

  1. Organizational Capacity Building (Duration: 14 days)

This track focuses on top leadership — CEOs, Executive Directors, and General Managers — providing them with advanced strategies to strengthen governance, enhance decision-making, and drive institutional sustainability.

  1. Individual Capacity Building

Tailored to address employees at different professional levels, this component aims to unlock individual potential and improve operational efficiency throughout the organization.

  • Senior Level (Duration: 20 days)
    Designed to refine leadership, strategic planning, and management skills to elevate organizational performance.
  • Middle Level (Duration: 11 days)
    Focused on enhancing practical skills, teamwork, and communication to boost day-to-day productivity and impact.
