PDF Delivers Happiness to Aswan Families With More Than 600 Ramadan Food Boxes

The Professional Development Foundation (PDF) signed a cooperation protocol with the Ministry of Social Solidarity to participate in the implementation of a presidential initiative called Hayat Karima (A Decent Life).

In their first contribution to the initiative, PDF team visited Aswan governorate during the holy month of Ramadan and delivered happiness to families there. The team was able to pack and distribute more than 600 Ramadan food boxes with the aim of providing iftar to poor families living in Al-Karama, Al-Hekma, and Al-Manar villages.

PDF contribution will not stop there, the team will work on the implementation of several projects in each of the three villages in the coming period.

Hayat Karima is designed to support the neediest through rehabilitation and raising the efficiency of houses, medical operations, provision of medicines, food baskets, environmental interventions, establishment of schools, as well as training and employment opportunities through micro enterprises.

This initiative launched by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to provide a decent life for the underprivileged, is a model of cooperation between civil society organizations represented by NGOs, the Egyptian government represented by the Ministry of Social Solidarity, as well as other participating institutions.
Hayat Karima will be implemented in a total of 277 villages in 15 different governorates, mostly in Upper Egypt.
